After 25 years of pastoral ministry, I'm embracing the writing life in all its delight and challenge. "Writing is an act of faith, not of grammar," says author E.B. White, and that's how it feels to me too.
I currently serve as resident author with a liturgical worship community, write online and in print publications, and often speak in churches and other settings.
On this website, I share some of my writing on Scripture, prayer, books I'm reading, and other acts of faith in everyday life. I encourage readers to love God and neighbour while taking care of themselves too.

I googled the quote and read the whole poem! The Easter quote is right at the end! Wow, I had forgotten the sparkle and the freshness and pungency of Hopkins poetry. Thanks for reminding me!
You’re very welcome–Hopkins is my all time favourite poet, and the photo by Lois Siemens seemed to fill in the next line about the “crimson-cresseted east.”
