Praying for Truth and Reconciliation

We pray for the work of the Canadian Truth and Reconciliation Commission; for the survivors of residential schools and their descendents who will share their stories; for those who will listen, absorb and learn; for those who will help us to continue the journey of healing and right relationship:
~ for the courage to speak and the compassion to listen;
~ for the presence of Holy Wisdom to guide healing and reconciliation in the way of truth;
~ for the will to walk in justice and right relationship.

Prayers for Truth and Reconciliation, United Church of Canada, June 2011, posted here in honour of the BC National Event of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, Sept. 18 – 21, 2013. God, forgive and bring your healing.

Faith and Hope with April Yamasaki

I write, edit, teach, preach, and mentor in a variety of venues, platforms, and publications. The common thread? To encourage and inspire people of all ages to live with faith and hope. I’d love for you to join me!

In all the challenges, joys, and ordinary moments of daily life, God’s mercies never fail. They are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23).
