Lenten Art for Chocolate Lovers Everywhere

On Twitter, the most popular sacrifice for Lent this year is giving up chocolate, so for today I thought I’d post this wall hanging made from [free] fair trade chocolate wrappers:

Chocolate Wrapper Wall HangingThe wrappers were collected by artist Lynn Krueger and her chocolate-eating friends, then machine-sewn onto felt. I was delighted to see this in the MCC office at 50 Kent in Kitchener, Ontario, when I was there earlier this year. Here’s another photo with more detail:

  1. April, this is delightful! A breath of fresh air (or should I say chocolate!) from our hometown (We lived in Kitchener/Waterloo for over 20 years!)

  2. That is a really neat piece of art. Thanks for sharing it.
