Tomorrow is a big day for Frank Viola as he launches his new book, God’s Favorite Place on Earth. He’s giving away 25 free books to anyone who purchases his book between May 1 and 7, and I’m very pleased that my Sacred Pauses: Spiritual Practices for Personal Renewal is included in his list!

I already have the sampler of Frank’s new book which tells the story of Jesus’ many trips to Bethany to see his close friends, Lazarus, Mary, and Martha. In addition to the narrative, he then goes on to relate it to our own experiences today of “doubt, discouragement, fear, guilt, division, rejection, and the struggle against consumerism and complacency.” I’ve only read a couple of chapters so far, and am looking forward to reading the rest of the book.
