In the last three years, I’ve taught my on-line course on dreams three times: twice as part of Canadian Mennonite University’s Xplore program and once on my own. I’m excited once more to offer Dreams and Dreaming in the Bible and in Our Lives Today—this time as a Winter 2027 course for the Ottawa School of Theology and Spirituality (OSTS).
OSTS began in 1964 with a vision for theological formation among lay Christians in the Ottawa Presbytery of the United Church of Canada. Today, OSTS is an independent school with “the official support of the United Church Eastern Ontario Outaouais Regional Council, the Anglican Diocese of Ottawa, the Presbyterian Church Presbytery of Ottawa, and the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Ottawa.” All courses in person and over Zoom are “open to all who have an interest in deepening their understanding of theology and spirituality.” (All quotes from the OSTS website.)
I was surprised to receive an invitation to teach for OSTS, since I was not familiar with the school. But after some email conversation and meeting online with the curriculum committee and president, I am happy to be teaching for their Winter Term 2027:
